Gourmet Executive Chef Tummanoon Punchun has been sharing the secrets of great Thai cooking with professional Chef’s and Thai taste enthusiasts from around the globe for over a decade.
Chef Tummanoon’s popular workshops are held every Saturday and Sunday at the Boathouse from 10.00h to about 14.00h and include lunch, a folder of recipes and a Boathouse apron.
| |  |  | | The two half-day classes are conducted with fun and flair and begin with an in-depth discussion of Thai flavorings. Chef follows with tips on selection, how best to store each ingredient and the methods of chopping dicing and pounding in a mortar that precede the creation of a dish.
A total of 10 recipes are taught during the two days. The first four-hour session is devoted to appetizers and salads. The second day features recipes for main courses and desserts.
The recipes are explained, demonstrated and then all the participants get a chance to try it out and to taste their creations.
By Sunday afternoon you will not only have conquered the basics of Thai cooking but also have learned many interesting food facts along the way from our charismatic and knowledgeable Chef.
